From not posting a single post for days to posting two consecutive days in a row.

Yes, I’m back!

Well, at least for the time being.

I had to be back, since today is the reveal day for the SRC.

This month I was assigned Cookin’ Mimi’s blog.

Cooking has been a life long passion of Micha aka Mimi, a statement rung true by the fact that she had her first recipe published when she was just four years old! Do check her blog out. I am sure you will find quite a few recipes that you would like to try out.

I chose to try Mimi’s Braided Brioche Loaf recipe.

I love brioche (with all that butter in it, what’s there not to like!). I have made Sarabeth’s brioche recipe (used a muffin tray to bake them) and those turned out great. I am waiting for some one to buy me brioche tins to get bakery style brioche buns. (V are you listening?)

I was intrigued by the braided brioche loaf recipe on Mimi’s blog and since I had recently stumbled on this, I thought of making this loaf “Estonian Kringel” style with some cinnamon sugar stuffed in between.

These days I am visiting my parents in India. My brother and his wife and their 15 day old baby girl are also with us. And I am glad to have had such a great recipe to share with my favorite people in the world.

I served the loaf slices with cream cheese frosting and loved them. If only I had not burnt the bottom, these would have been great. But even with that mishap these were pretty good.

Kind of like cinnamon rolls.

And I love cinnamon rolls.

These will be made again.

I bet V would love them! And yes, I’ll be making them for him.

Can’t wait to have them again for breakfast! With some fruits on top. And the cream cheese frosting. Yum!
